During the late 1990's many factories in China started producing petrol powered lawnmowers. We were approached by a well know DIY superstore to re-develop an existing engine to both improve performance and the aesthetics, thus giving the customer an exclusive engine for their own brand.

Working with a well-known Chinese manufacturer of petrol lawnmowers we oversaw a new design, implemented the sample production, life testing and managed the ongoing manufacturing and supply of a finished lawnmower using the new engine design.

Sample engine covers were first produced using hand made fibreglass moulds to avoid tooling costs. Once the final design was completed tooling was produced and full production commenced.
