Help for inventors: FAQ's
1) I have an idea - what do I need to do ?
This could be a thought in your head or a working prototype with a clearly defined route to market. Then simply download and print two copies of our Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) sign both and return them to:

2) What is the cost?
Nothing.... No Fees are charged for our service. Maxon only ask for exclusive manufacturing rights to the product.
3) How far should I have gone?
Thought or idea or even a working prototype with a clearly defined route to market.
4) What drawings do I need?
The more the better, however we can manage the whole process from idea to completed working drawings, again at no cost to the inventor.
5) How do I protect an Idea?
Enter into a Non Disclosure Agreement, which means that we can openly discuss the idea without jeopordising your rights to file for a patent. - read more about protecting intellectual property here
6) How do I set up a Non Disclosure Agreement?
Download and print two copies of our non disclosure agreement and sign both. Post them to us and we will sign both and post one back to you so you are protected BEFORE we speak. - read more about non disclosure agreements here
7) Will my product be made exclusively for me?
Yes by entering into our exclusive manufacturing agreement with us we will be legally bound to supply only you with that product.
8) Why do I need a prototype?
This is the first time an idea is proved and the first true test of its functionality. It can also be used as a reference point for promoting the product to the market place.
9) Who pays to have my prototype developed?
Maxon Industires pay, they will develop the prototype in their own Research & Development facility. If it is outside the scope of that facility Maxon Industries will fund the development at other carefully selected Research & Development facilities.
10) Where will my product be made?
Dependent on materials or manufacturing process we will place the production with one of our contracted and audited Far East manufacturing facilities.
11) Will I need to visit the factory?
Although you are welcome to visit the facilities at any time to see your product being made. Maxon industries will oversee production management with attendance by one of our engineers when required.
12) Will I need tooling?
Tooling can be a very expensive option. However, there are many modern manufacturing techniques available now and this can sometimes be avoided. However, if tooling is required Maxon Industries will work with you to negotiate favourable terms.
13) How do I ensure I receive a quality product?
Maxon Industries staff have many years of production experience and will carry out routine inspection procedures prior to any goods being shipped.
14) Who pays for the site visits and quality control?
This is a standard part of our production management and Maxon Industires will absorb the cost of this from the manufacturing agreement.
15) How will I receive my goods?
Our Hong Kong office has dedicated experienced personnel managing a 'To the door' turnkey service anywhere in the world.
